For efficient operation of warehouses and distribution centres, floors must be of sound design and high quality construction. Long term truck operating costs and productivity can be seriously compromised by poor design or poor workmanship. Floor maintenance costs can be significantly and avoidably increased. Face Consultants have the unrivalled experience and skills to provide complete floor project supervision – from scheme inception to the completed and operating warehouse. Design Review floor loadings, structural design and specifications. Design joint layouts and define flatness requirements. Review contractor proposals and method statements and advise on contractor appointments. On-site Monitoring Face Consultants provide detailed quality plans specific to each project and then supervise the works. This includes: Checks of ground preparation works Checks of floor thickness Construction process checks As Built Surveys Surface Flatness Testing The completed floor must be tested to ensure that the expected productivity and smooth running of the trucks will be achieved. Face Consultants are independent surveyors and are the only UKAS accredited company for this work.
